Adding Your First Location
Learn how to add and configure your first store location in OptimizedStoreFinder.
Once you’ve installed OptimizedStoreFinder, it’s time to add your first store location. This guide walks you through the process step by step.
Adding a Location
- Open OptimizedStoreFinder from your Shopify admin
- Click Add Location in the top right corner
- Fill in the location details:
Required Fields
- Store Name - A unique name for this location (e.g., “Downtown Chicago”)
- Street Address - Start typing and select from the autocomplete suggestions
- City, State, ZIP - These are filled automatically when you select an address
Optional Fields
- Phone Number - Contact number for this location
- Email - Contact email for this location
- Description - A brief description shown on the location page
- Store Hours - Set your operating hours for each day
Setting Business Hours
Click Add Hours to configure your store hours:
- Select the days of the week
- Enter opening and closing times
- Add multiple time ranges for split hours (e.g., lunch breaks)
- Mark days as closed when applicable
Hours are displayed on your storefront and included in your structured data for search engines.
Adding a Store Image
Upload a photo of your storefront:
- Click Upload Image in the image section
- Select a photo from your computer
- The image will be optimized automatically
Tip: Use a clear photo of your storefront exterior to help customers recognize your location.
Saving and Publishing
Once you’ve filled in the details:
- Click Save to save your location
- The location will appear on your storefront immediately
- An SEO-optimized location page is created automatically
Verifying Your Location
After saving, verify everything looks correct:
- Click View on storefront to see the store locator widget
- Click on your location marker to check the info popup
- Visit the location page to see the full details
